GreenFire® has engineered a solution to a variety of challenges faced by wildland firefighters. Traditional fire foams only slow the spread of fire, rather than extinguish it. GreenFire® works in several ways: the cooling effect removes heat from the fire triangle, while the foam-generating capabilities remove oxygen from the fire triangle, and the retardant capabilities render the fuel itself unburnable, effectively eliminating the third leg of the fire triangle. This retardant capability functions even long after all the moisture has evaporated away.

Additionally, GreenFire® can be used to pretreat homes or structures in a structure defense operation. And importantly, because GreenFire® is a non-toxic, all-natural product that is free from PFAS “forever chemicals” and other known carcinogens, our product can be used safely, without harmful side effects to the user or the environment.
